Safety
At Sierra Helicopters we are committed to the health and safety of our employees and customers, as well as the protection of the environment and our customers assets. To accomplish this we have implemented a Safety Management System (SMS) that is now integral to the day to day operations of Sierra Helicopters. Our SMS program has been well received by industry auditors and was the basis for our SAFE Certification. We are working with the BC Forest Safety Council to participate in, and maintain through yearly audits, certification in the WorkSafeBC Certificate of Recognition (COR) program. The SAFE Certification means that both the BC Forest Safety Council and WorkSafeBC have deemed that we have an effective health and safety program in place. Through our SMS program we strive to make the workplace a safe place to be by assessing the hazards, evaluating the risks, and implementing controls and policies to mitigate the risks. At Sierra Helicopters we are constantly striving to create the safest environment possible by investing in our employees and our Safety Management System.
